Margarita Sampayan Esteban, born on August 10, 1946, in Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines, was the cherished daughter of Consuelo Acain and Basilio Sampayan. She was the seventh of eight siblings—Marcelina, Rosita, Jose, Fortunata, Maria, Magdalena, Margarita, and Francisca.
On January 24, 1971, Margarita married Wenceslao Esteban. Together, they relocated to Seattle, Washington, where they built a family and raised their two beloved sons, Theodore and Stanley.
Margarita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Known for her warmth and generosity, she made everyone feel like family. Her love for cooking and dancing was well-known, and after preparing meals for family gatherings and celebrations, she could often be found laughing and dancing late into the night, spreading joy wherever she went.
On January 28, 2025, Margarita passed away unexpectedly in her home. She is survived by her husband, Manuel Sanchez; sons, Theodore (Tara) and Stanley; grandchildren, Riley and Caden; sisters, Marcelina, Maria, and Francisca; stepchildren Marife, Maly (Jun), Mel (Cely) and Marvin (Mariden), and many step- grandchildren, step-great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Margarita will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, laughter and joy will endure forever.
