Marge Baker, formerly Marge Aslakson, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, in Olympia, Washington, at the age of 96.
Born in Sheyenne, North Dakota, Marge built a life centered on faith, family, love, and adventure. She was the proud mother of John, Connie, Annette, and Beth. She and her husband Selmer “Sam” Aslakson, moved to Seattle, Washington and raised their family in Burien.
Marge and Sam later built a lake home on Black Lake in Olympia. The lake became a treasured gathering place for family, filled with memories through the years. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
She embraced life with enthusiasm, enjoying travel, time in Arizona winters, summers at the lake, knitting, baking, church, golf, bridge, and time with loved ones.
After Sam’s passing, Marge married Roger Baker in 2015. They shared companionship and joy before moving into assisted living, where they continued to enjoy visits with family and friends.
Marge will be remembered for her kindness, strong faith, generosity, and devotion to those she loved.
A life well lived, a heart well loved, and a woman who will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
