Obituary

Mary Ann Davis, 91, a resident of Brannan Park retirement community in Auburn, Washington, passed away at Auburn Multicare Hospital on February 25, 2020 following complications of pneumonia. Mary Ann was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She was the daughter of Frederick Schieweck and Verena Meyer Schieweck, and the sister of Augusta Louise Barton and Frederick Schieweck, Jr. , who predeceased her. Mary Ann was married to Leon Davis, the love of her life from April 1956 until his passing in 2003.   Mary Ann retired from Cincinnati Bell and moved with Leon to Tucson, Arizona, in 1959 to become a full-time mother and homemaker.  Following Leon’s passing in Sierra Vista, Arizona in 2003, Mary Ann moved to the Seattle area to be near her daughter and grandchildren.  Mary Ann resided at Village Green retirement community from 2003 to 2017 and then at Brannan Park, where she was loved by all for her sweet demeanor.   Mary Ann loved to play bingo, attend Bible study, and visit with her friends. She is survived by her son, Andrew K. Davis of Tucson, Arizona,  her daughter, Karen Huber of Federal Way, and her grandchildren Jay Huber of Berkeley, California and Christina Huber of Lebanon, New Hampshire.  She will be interred in the Southern Arizona Veterans’ Cemetery in Sierra Vista, Arizona, with her husband.
