MAXINE PLETSCHETT SCHENK
Age 84, died on July 6, 2005 of complications due to a stroke. Along with her first husband, she was born 11-24-1920 and raised in Northern Minnesota and they farmed there during the early years of marriage. They moved to Seattle in 1955 where she worked at the Boeing Cafeteria and later at Safeco Insurance. A member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha and St. Stephen the Martyr Parish, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Mathias Pletschett, son, Eddie David Pletschett, granddaughter, Karla Jean Christoff, and her second husband, Arthur Schenk, Maxine is survived by three children, Constance Joyce Christoff, Boulder, CO, Michael Edward Pletschett, Plano, TX, and Carol Ann Arnold, Kent, WA; one step-daughter, Fran Reid, SeaTac, WA; three siblings, Laura May Jorgenson, Auburn, WA, and John “Jack” Harris Halvorson and Marcia Jean Cline, both Morton, WA; eight grandchildren, John, Corrine, Teresa, Michelle, Jason, Michael, Denise, and Jessica, and one step-grandson, Ryan; and six great-grandchildren, Caelynn, Kimberly, Kelly, Mariella, Erin, and Nicholas. A funeral mass will be held today Saturday at 12:00 Noon at St. Stephen the Martyr Parish, 13055 SE 192nd St., Renton, with burial to follow @ Washington Memorial Park.
