Sharron P. Laswell

November 2, 1945 - December 18, 2025

Sharron P. Laswell passed away peacefully at St. Anne’s on December 18th, with her daughter by her side, following complications from COPD and a deeply broken heart.

Sharron was born on November 2, 1945, in Port Angeles, Washington, and recently celebrated her 80th birthday while surrounded by care at the hospital. She was raised in Port Angeles by her parents, Joseph “Dick” Epperson and Julia Epperson, alongside her siblings, Myrt and Richie. Sharron fondly shared stories of her small-town childhood—going to the movies, spending time with friends, and enjoying the simple joys of growing up close to family.

She graduated from Port Angeles High School in 1964 and soon after moved to Seattle with two close high school friends. She loved reminiscing about their apartment on Capitol Hill, office jobs, and nights spent dancing and enjoying life together.

In the fall of 1964, Sharron was riding in the backseat of her brother-in-law’s car with her niece, sister, and brother-in-law when they stopped at a gas station and met Lee. He was instantly taken with her. When her sister asked if she would be interested in going on a date, Sharron famously replied, “He is old like you.” Despite her hesitation, they eventually began dating and spent their first New Year’s together soon after. From that point on, New Year’s became sacred to them—they never missed one together. Even during a brief separation after a couple of years of dating, they still shared New Year’s, eventually finding their way back to one another and marrying on July 5, 1969. With Lee’s passing in May and Sharron’s this December, they are once again reunited, never missing a New Year together.

In the early years of raising their family, Sharron took exceptional care of her home and children, always ensuring dinner was ready when Lee returned from work. As the children grew older, she continued to anchor the household while also working part-time in various roles, including waitressing, hostessing, working as a Bonney-Watson courier driver, and serving as an Avon Beauty Representative. No matter what she was doing, her family always came first. She supported every aspect of home life with unwavering love, dedication, and devotion.

Sharron’s happiest moments were spent with family and friends—camping, playing cards, shooting darts, attending her children’s events, dancing with Lee, celebrating holidays and special occasions, and making frequent trips to the casino. Her life was filled with love, adventure, and laughter.

Sharron is survived by her children, Stacy (Ryan), Becca, and Danny (Debbie); her grandson, Kyle; her brother-in-law, Gery; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family whom she loved and adored.

She was preceded in death by beloved husband Lee, her parents, Dick and Julia; her siblings, Myrt and Richie; her brother-in-law, Jim; beloved nephews; and dear friends—all of whom were waiting to welcome her with open arms, love, and shared stories.

A celebration of life will be shared at a later date.
