Obituary
Sophie M. Wold, 98, of Auburn, died Saturday, August 3, 2002. She was born August 2, 1904 in Forward Township, North Dakota. She is survived by two daughters Ardis Welsh and Carol Joyce Bennes, sister Lillian Knight, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Sophie was preceded in death by her husband Arthur J. Wold in October of 1978. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 9, 2002 at Grace Lutheran Church 22975 24th Ave S. Des Moines. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
Great Grandma was a wonderful woman and a great inspiration to me. She taught me many of her crafts and talents and shared many of her little bits of wisdom with me. I always enjoyed her company, even when she was making me decorate the Christmas tree and put the ornaments in very specific places to meet her approval and so the tree looked perfect. : Love Jennifer
