My sympathies to the family of Steven. He was a fine gentleman. I worked with his father for a short time and also with Steve when he started on the waterfront. I could see was raised well by his father. They had many of the same good traits. It was a pleasure to have Steven on the job. We missed him when he retired but were glad he could enjoy retirement.

My condolences to the family.

I miss you Dad as do we all. From port to port and union hall. We lay to rest a man well known by all adults and babe ungrown. But behind you leave a song so true. We say Goodbye Dad. We Love You!!!

I heard of Steve’s death through my father, Curly McFarlane who was also a long time longshoreman and visited with Steve often at the “Hall”. Steve was a part of my childhood as we grew up together on 18th SW. We played together as very young children and attended the same schools. My sincere sympathy to his family and friends, peace be with you Steve.

You always have believed in me no matter what I do in my life and for that I love you more than anything. You gave me an example of what a father and a husband should be to someone. You live on thru me and thru my children. The good times are still there in our hearts where they will be forever! I love you so much.. you gave me the kindness and goodness that I pass on to others. Dad, Two Years and its still like yesterday. Deena,Jeff and I are all still here! Saw a Local 19 Sticker yesterday on someones car and Smiled. Smelled your old aftershave on someone else a few days ago too, and I still feel like U should be a phone call away. Jeff is near-by me now and Deena isn’t far either. I still miss as much as ever. Life has a void without your everyday hug or drop-bys.The grandkids are growing and we speak of your love and memories often!Love You Forever with every beat that my Heart puts out!
