Obituary

Susan Marie Merriman Hardt was born December 9, 1940 in Menomonie, Wisconsin to Daniel Merriman and Jane Sandvig. She moved to Spokane, Washington in 1947 where she spent the rest of her childhood with her father, grandmother Rose, stepmother Mabel (Adair) and her brothers Michael Merriman and Larry Merriman.

Suzy graduated from North Central HS in 1958 and wed Joseph C. Faulhaber the following year. As a military wife she moved often yet all three of her children were born in Hawaii. She is survived by those children, Michael J. Faulhaber, William H. Faulhaber and Katy (Faulhaber) Wood.

She spent several years as a single mother raising her children and working as an administrator for a large insurance company. In her later years, she worked at home as a medical transcriptionist. Suzy loved to read, enjoyed crochet and sewing. She was smart, kind and easy to talk to which made her even more lovable to her children and the many grandchildren of her blended family.

She was remarried in 1978 to Carl H. Hardt and they spent the next four and a half decades together until her passing. They moved to the greater Seattle area in the 80’s to follow work and their children. Carl and Suzy resided mostly in Des Moines, Washington.
