Dear Bob,

You left too soon and I will miss you more than you could possibly know. You were so special to everybody, and I can only hope that you knew how special you were to me. I chose you to be the Godfather to my children because I always felt that you displayed the qualities of the perfect father. You were gentle, kind, hardworking, loyal, unassuming, fun and funny. When I was a little girl you took me on your paper route with you. I wanted to be your little sister. So many years ago, but that is how long I have admired you. Your humor has gotten us all through tough times and I will savor the good memories forever. I just wanted more of them, but thank you for enriching my life the way you did.

To Pat ,

My heart is aching for you. You are very special to me too. You and Bob have always been so generous and hospitable to me.

So many precious memories have been flooding my mind these past few days, and you are

an important part of those. I adore you.

Kim and Stacey,

I am so sorry for your loss. You were blessed to have such a wonderful father. But you know that. God bless you all.

Love, Diane

Pat and family:

So sorry to hear of your loss… Have so many great memories of Bob and his awesome sense of humor! Will never forget those great weekends at your ‘cabin’ on the canal. Remember, it was the Headquarters for our investment club and its annual CBR weekend Character Building Retreat.Hope you still have the wall plaque that dedicates that fact.

Will always remember the

great oyster/clam bargeques, card games and embarrassing ourselves on the golf course.

Our love, thoughts and deepest sympathy are with you.

Bob will be remembered for the rest of my life as the rarest and most cherished of friends. There is an emptiness without him that is difficult to describe, especially considering how much time I thought I had to know him better. I can almost feel his spirit, soothing my anger that he was taken so soon, and patiently awaiting the time when we can laugh together again.

Love Always,

Christopher

Dear Uncle Bob;

As a little girl you always called me “your girlfriend” I thought I was so special and unique. As I grew up I watched you with other kids especially your grandkids I have to laugh because you made us all feel special and unique. You were every ones favorite because of your crazy handshake that almost breaks your wrist, or just your being so funny.

You introduced the canal to our family before we were even a thought. You then opened your summer cabin, which started the greatest fun we would ever know. We camped and the dads would come after work and the camp was set up like we had lived there. What a great family and fantastic childhood we had. We all got to spend it together. We never knew if we had a nickel or a million. You guys made us feel like a million always.

I will always be at the canal and think of you, our families being so close and the fun we had.

We in our family always said you would walk us down the isle in the terrible event our dad couldn’t…That’s how special you are to us.

When we all meet again I hope it will be at Chucks Property, Lake Oswego, or the Hoods Canal. All of us together

Thank you for helping shape us all into who we are in our hearts today. I love you Uncle Bob
