Obituary
Marian Hennessey, 92 of Seattle passed away on February 19, 2014. Born in Aberdeen, Washington to John and Matilda Karamatic. Marian worked 30 years for Metropolitan Life insurance retiring in 1976. She married John Hennessey on January 8, 1944 and celebrated 70 years of marriage this last January. Marian is survived by her husband, John and sons John (Maria) and Steve (Sheila) Hennessey. She also was a proud grandmother to William and Sean Hennessey, Kelly Chelin, Kim Hennessey and a great-grandmother to Drew and Lauren Chelin. A committal service will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 1:30 pm at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline, WA.
I knew Marian many years ago. She was my supervisor at Metropolitan Life Ins. Co. I worked there for 11 years and made many friends – one of them being Marian. She will be missed by all of you. She shared with love the activities of her boys as they grew up and lovingly of her husband John. January 8 was their anniversary and birthdays – I think? Remembering in love of a great and beautiful person.

Marian was a 1939 grad of Lincoln High School, Seattle. While I was Editor, her Class Rep writing the articles for the class of 1939 was Paul (Hap) Happold. Blessings to all the family for this huge loss.
