Margaret Juhasz (née Stubnyai) passed away this past Holy Thursday, April 17th, 2014 at the age of 94. Margaret was born an only child on March 2, 1920 to a loving mother and father who worked for the national railroad company in a part of Hungary formerly known as Brassó and later in Szolnok. Through enjoyable railroad trips as a little girl and growing up, memorable times at an all-girls private school, and enjoyable tennis matches and rivalries at the club her family frequented during those years, she grew very close to relatives, friends, and people at home and in distant places. Margaret lived through the hardships of World War II, the loss of her parents when she fled from Hungary for safety from the oncoming Russians, five years in an immigration camp in Germany, and immigration by ship to the U.S., settling in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1950, she met and later married her husband Paul Charles Juhasz. They had a daughter Anikó and a son, Paul Robert. In 1958 she moved with her family to Seattle, Washington. Margaret was a devoted wife active in scouts, the engineering society through her husband, the Hungarian Assoc and other associations; and a devoted mother and grandmother to her children and their families. She also had a love of animals and nature. A religious woman who prayed every day, to Margaret, life was all about loving family, loving friends, loving people, and knowing that the Good Lord was always taking care of her. These are the principles that guided her life. You have returned to the Good Lord, your parents, your husband, and heaven. We love you mom and grandma. Your beauty is now back with God. Good bye to a good friend in Scouting. We worked with both Margaret and Paul in the Chief Seattle Council. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Reading about your mother and grandmother’s Godly life is a moving testimony how God used her throughout her whole life to touch so many. May she rejoice with the Lord and Savior in heaven.
