Obituary
Harold D. McDonald was born to Harold and Edna McDonald on November 11, 1928 in Aberdeen, Washington. He grew up and lived in the Aberdeen/Ocean Shores area, graduating from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington in 1948.
In 1949, Harold went to Myrtle Creek, Oregon where his parents had moved a year earlier. His father had a sheet metal shop which he co-owned with his brother, Vern. While living in Myrtle Creek, he met Mildred MacDonald who was working as a clerk in a grocery store. After knowing her for a short time (6 weeks), he asked Mildred to marry him. They were married on March 10, 1950 in the Methodist church in Myrtle Creek, Oregon.
Harold Donald McDonald’s spiritual journey began in a Methodist church in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. He was saved, baptized in the Umpqua River, baptized in the Holy Spirit, and called into the ministry in 1953.
While living in Myrtle Creek, Harold and Mildred had three children, Scott, Janice, and Kathy. In August 1958, Harold and Mildred entered the ministry.
- 1958 – Sunny Valley, Oregon
- 1960 – Assembly of God in Phoenix, Oregon.
- 1962 – Harold was called to be a prophet when God spoke to him in an audible voice.
- 1972 – Little Chapel in Seattle, Washington, which later became Faith Center.
- 1980 – Household of Faith in Burien, WA
Throughout his life, he also worked in lumber mills, drove bus, and a sales clerk at Montgomery Wards.
After retiring from Household of Faith at the age of 65, Harold and Mildred ministered around the world. They traveled to Miami, Florida; Alaska; Cincinnati; Little Haiti; Mexico; Japan; Australia; and Canada preaching the gospel and Harold walking in the prophetic anointing.
Harold remained active in the ministry by speaking at various churches, home meetings, and to deliver the word of the Lord to individuals that came his way until his passing at 92.
Harold is survived by:
- Wife – Mildred
- 3 Children – Scott, Jan and Kathy
- 6 Grandchildren – Amy, James, Destiny, Aaron, Gabriel, and Drew
- 9 Great Grandchildren – Jerico, Isabel, Anna, Malia, Celia, Judah, Isaiah, Keilah, and Genesis
- 2 Great – Great Granddaughters – Lydia and one soon to be born
Harold went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2021 at the age of 92.
