She spearheaded many youth functions including dances for Chinook JH for 13 years. Betty was a popular community activist and charter member of the SeaTac Incorporation Committee. She spent countless hours volunteering for Boeing Bluebills, the USO, and numerous charities including hosting students and families from around the world.
Betty is survived by her five children Mike (Erika), Barbara Wu (Louis), Mitch (Karen), Beverly Seto (Tom), Marshall (Consuelo); grandchildren Alexis, Nick, Sage, Heather, Sydney, Forrest, Tiburcio; her brothers Jim, Don, Larry and preceded in death by sister Mary Lou Foss.
What a joy you were in our lives. Oh, how we miss you. The house feels so empty without you here.
We love you forever.

Mitch,
We are so very sorry for your loss. The stories that you have shared about your mom leave me no doubt that she was an outstanding role model for you and all in your family. I hope that you always see, that the impact that you have on your students is a part of her legacy. We’ll keep your whole family in our thoughts, hearts and prayers during these difficult times. Hopefully the love you feel from others during this time will give you the strength and encouragement you need during this time.
With love,
Amy and River Crandall (and family)
Betty and Joe were two of the best, most caring people I have met. Their love of family and community provided remarkable examples for us all. I was blessed to get to know both of them in my time at SeaTac. Their legacy will live on.
With deepest sympathy,
Jim Graddon
