Dear Chester’s Family,
I will miss my monthly phone calls from Chester. He would call me just to sound off about the company and job that he loved so that he could carry on another month. Chester was a valuble memeber of our team and you should be very proud of his accomplishments in ensuring safety at sea and support of a strong navy. We all owe him our gratitude. I was able to work with Chester over a period of two years and found him to be one of the old school guys who loved the job. My trip with him last year to Alaska was a benefit to me and one I will not forget.
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

I do not have the words to describe how I feel at the passing of my great friend Chester. He was an inspiration, a teacher, a helper but most of all he was a true friend. We often talked about getting together for dinner with our wives, but for one reason or another we never followed through…and I will forever regret that. I feel honored to have been included as his friend and I will remember him throughout the remaining days of my life. Rest In Peace my brother.
