Obituary
Darrin Ray Sains, of Mukilteo, WA went to join the Lord on March 12, 2011. He was surrounded by family and friends at the time of his passing. Darrin was born on January 12, 1968 in Anaheim, CA.
Darrin is survived by his best friend and fiancée, Debbie Schick and his children, Kale Rae of Everett, Vanessa of Mount Vernon and Jordan of Mountlake Terrace. He is also survived by his father Del and his wife Karen of Lynnwood and his mother Anita Colquhoun of Camano Island, his siblings Tim and his children Tara, Tyler, Tanner and Tandi, Richard and his children Erin Jared, Jamie Brian, Christopher Laura, Brianne and Ashley, his sister Denise and her children Brandon and Rachel, sister Pamela of Glendale, AZ and her sons Donald and Kenneth , his grandfather Vernon Curtis of Mount Vernon. Also, Debbie’s parents, Joe and Marilene Lanear of AZ and Pat Lanear and Wayne Keller of CA, and two dear friends Annette Arnold of TN and Steve Scudera of NC.
He was preceded in death by his step-father Richard Colquhoun and his infant sister Rachelle.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses in the Critical Care Unit at Providence Hospital – Colby Campus for their unending and compassionate care.
A visitation will be held at Gilbertson’s Funeral Home in Stanwood Monday, March 21, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Services will be Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 27128 – 102nd Dr. N.W., Stanwood, WA.
A reception will follow at the American Legion in Stanwood.
Memorials may be made in Darrin’s name to the American Legion – scholarship fund, Hospice or to your favorite charity.

I will always remember the great times we shared when I would come up to Washington and visit you and uncle Del with grandpa Floyd and grandma Pauline. Those were some of the best memories of my childhood. Rest in peace dear cousin. You shall always be in my memories.
