From the very beginning, Edith and I shared a unique and special friendship that allowed us the freedom to just “BE”. Our love of plants and flowers first brought us together and many hours were spent during springs and summers touring both of our yards and Edith’s garden. She was always so very generous in sharing treasures from her garden. My funniest memory of Edith revolves around a lemon meringue pie she served one day. We each enjoyed a generous slice with coffee. Upon calling her the next day to thank her, she admitted that she had eaten the remainder of the pie that evening. I still have visions of how she must have enjoyed that lemon pie while watching TV that evening. So many memories that I will always hold dear. I am so thankful that she came into my life 20 years ago. I will always love her and feel blessed by what we shared. Our little one lane unpaved road will never be the same. We send healing prayers to Edith’s family and please know we hold you in our hearts. With light, Jacqueline & Walter Millard

My condolences to the family for their loss. I didn’t personally know Mrs. Bruell but was a patient of Dr. Bruell whom I admired.

Our sincerest condolances to the Bruell Family. Dr. Bruell was my father’s doctor from age 14 until the day he retired and my doctor from birth until my early 20’s. Mrs. Bruell was a lovely woman. After Dr. Bruell’s passing I always enjoyed it when we would run into each other occasionally and visit. Even after all these years she STILL remembered, not only my father & mother but my father’s parents as well and always asked after everyone. We had exchanged Christmas cards for the past few years. She will be greatly missed. We think of both of them often, fondly and with love and affection.
