Edwin Carl Johnson, Age 96, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2012 in Seattle, WA. Born in Bellingham, WA – son of Charles and Anna Johnson. Survived by: his children, daughter Diamelen Clever (husband Alan) of Seattle, WA, twin sons Ed (wife Marsha) of Seattle, and Alan of Auburn, WA; 5 grandchildren Jason (wife Tammy), Jondell, Jenessa (husband Cameron), Aaron (wife Kendra), and Ian; and 2 great grandchildren Alyson and Zachary. Preceded in death by his twin sister Ella Rowles of Port Angeles, WA. Ed was an honored Army Veteran who served in WWII distinguishing him as a member of the “Greatest Generation”. After serving his country, Ed moved to Seattle, married, and retired from Boeing after over 30 years as an electronic technician – a company and job that he loved. Ed’s pastimes included TV repairing and building electronic equipment, road trips cross-country with the family, weekly walks with his sons in downtown Seattle, and enjoyed dancing. Ed looked forward to his trips to Port Angeles to spend time with his sister Ella and visiting with nieces Pat Vautier, Margaret Schmidt (husband Bob), and Jeanie Sikma (husband Dick), along with their families. Ed will be remembered for his mild manner and quiet demeanor. Private burial service was conducted at Tahoma National Cemetery. Memorials greatly appreciated to Union Gospel Mission in Downtown Seattle.
