Joy and Family,

I was so sad to hear about your father passing away. I loved to see him when he was at church on Saturday nights. He was very admired and loved through out the community. My best memory is when he would be Santa Claus at the Christmas party at St. Francis. The kids just loved him and the wooden toys that he carved where so special. I have one that he gave my daughter Michelle. I will treasure that always. I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to know a kind and loving person. You were very blessed to have him as a father. My prayers are with you and your family. I know your Mom passed away not to long ago. Joy, please contact me if you can. Send me your e-mail.

God bless,

Pauline Hoyt

I will miss my grandpa very much I loved him all my life, but I will never forget him. The thing I will always miss the most is Christmas when we’d play musical parcel and Grandpa would play train sounds on the reel to reel that’s my most cherished memory of him

To the entire Wherley family – our hearts go out to you for your great loss. George was a truly special person and a joy and pleasure to all who knew him. We were privileged to share our volunteer life and work with George. He was truly an inspiration and a beloved friend. Our world is a better place because George was here. We too have some of the special toys that George made with loving care. We will cherish them always along with our fond memories of this truly extraordinary man.

George brightened our Bluebill’s meetings with his jokes and words of wisdom. He was an exceptional man and I feel honored to have known him. I cherish the angel he gave me when he was making wooden toys. He will be missed by so many of us.
