My dearest Jack, you are and always will be, my heart, my love, my friend and mentor. I can never thank God enough for allowing you to be in my life for 15 years. You taught me how to love again and how to trust again. I know you are spending Christmas in heaven and I take comfort in knowing you are in the presence of God. I’m asking God to give you a hug for me. I wish I could deliver it personally but I will wait. Until that day, please know how much you are loved and missed. All my love, Lisa

Jack,

You toaught the gift of the lord to my boys, taught them in a way they would understand, You put trust in them and gave them the images of our heavenly father and for this I thank you so much. You meant a great deal to them, to me and to many that you have came across. The lord has a wonderful teacher to help pass the word of truth. You will forever be in our hearts. Thank you for all you have done.

I will always remember the 60s and how lucky we were to have grown up in that time. Maybe someday we can go fishing together keep a pole handy for me.

Jack,

Thanks for your unselfish dedication to my sister Lisa and for all of the kindness you displayed with your normal, everyday life toward my Mother. You truly “lived love” with an amazing display of patience as a peacemaker and provider and there can be no higher calling in the realm of relationship with God than that.

Dear Jack,

You were always there with wise counsel and broad shoulders, I will miss all of the laughter and teasing, the shared crossword puzzles and stolen bites of whatever you were eating.

You took such good care of my mother in her last years and were a devoted and loving husband to my sister. I miss you every day my brother and look forward to the day we meet again.

You were such a big part of our congregation. There is now an empty place in the pew and in our hearts that only you could fill. You were a blessing to our children in the Sunday School class you taught, and to all of us that knew you.I am thankfull that God allowed us to have you in our lives, even though we wish it could have been longer,we will meet again.

Jack,

It has been an honor and a privilege to have worked with you, share fishing stories with you, and advising you and Lisa as you manifested your retirement reality. I know you will be sorely missed by many, but we can take comfort in knowing that you are fishing the perfect waters with the Lord.

Jack,

From the moment I began attending Concrete A.O.G, you and Lisa were the people sitting in the pew in front of me. Even after the remodel and the entire sanctuary flipped around, there you were…right in front of me. There is an empty spot in that pew these days, that no one can fill. You were a joy to get to know, and I am thankful for the time I had to get to know you. Rest easy Jack, I’ll see you later.

Not enough time to be with the kids, fish or watch the games this year. The kids all loved sitting with you and playing hiding go seek. Bella says you are just looking for the best hiding spots in heaven, for when she gets there. We miss you so much. Love always, Ruth, Kike, Bella, Noah, and Ben.

I liked Jack when I first met him some years back when he was helping Lisa set up in preparation for the Clear Lake Elementary craft show. Maggie and I shared the same classroom with Lisa and Jack. With a friendly twinkle in his eye, he told me how thrilled he was to be living in Concrete and being able to do the fishing he’d been dreaming of. I didnt have to know Jack well to see he was a fine person and very devoted to Lisa. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn he’s right now landing a big one. We will miss Jack.

Jack helped create great memories for my family, friends, and I, each of the past three summers. Jack’s perfect directions led us to fantastic fishing holes on the Skagit. We were never disappointed…

My first stop was always where i could find Jack on a Saturday – at the craft fair in Concrete. He created great lures, and it was so nice to see him there with his wife, and I remember her glances his way, full of pride; beaming.

I’ll miss you, Jack. Yet your sage advice will live on every time I fish the Skagit bank. I’m glad to have met you.
