WE SERVED TOGETHER FOR A SHORT TIME
Will never forget the wonderful times and memories we had together Grandpa. You were the kind of Grandpa people could only wish they had. You will be in both Sharon and Mine’s thoughts and memories forever. I am glad we were able to see each other one last time. Love always Nathan and Sharon.
My deepest sympathy to all the family. I never met Grandpa James, but heard a lot of nice things about him from Nathan and Sharon. Sincerely, Marian Hunsberger Nathan’s Mother-in-law
Mr. Yarbrough was one of the most loving, kind men I have ever met. He was my parents’ neighbor for more than 20 years and was one of those people that I just feel blessed to have known and grown up around. He supported my sister and I through all of our big life events grads., deaths, weddings, babies, etc. with a big heart, even though we were just neighbor kids. I believe that if we were all a little more like him, the majority of the problems in our world would vanish. He did such a remarkable job with the life that he was given. He touched so many lives, and paved an example of excellence for each of us. He is one of those people who has forever touched my heart and changed me for the better. He will be missed.
Grandpa,
I hope you are feeling better now. You mean everything to me. I love you and miss you everyday.
Love, Shanice

Dad’s Poem
Dad taught us when we were small
One bright morning in the middle of the night…
Two dead soldier’s rose to fight…
back to back they faced each other…
drew their swords and shot each other…
Two deaf & dumb Policemen heard the noice…
And shot those two dead boys…

To the Yarbrough Family:
When I think of James, our most adored and trusted neighbor and friend, the words “kind hearted, dependable, and joyful giver” come to mind. Over the years he has been a true inspiration to us, as we witnessed his “loving sacrifice for the good of others.” In over twenty years we never once heard James say an unkind or even a cross word about anybody, and that is a statement we can only truthfully say about few people we know. There was never a time, upon meeting James while outside in our yards, when he did not offer his electric smile, accompanied with his exuberant wave. Our street has lost one of it’s brightest lights and we will miss him very much. I can only imagine the celebrating that is happening in heaven, as God joyfully welcomes home one of His most loving and loyal children.
Our thoughts and prayers go to each one of James’s family and friends.
Member 48th Comm Sq. Chaumont France. 1954/57.
I miss you Dad.
Along with our close friend, Maynard Norman, the three of us enjoyed working with each other. Jim was a stand up and true guy.
Uncle James
I will see you again
