Jerry,

I will be forever grateful to you! You were the first person to come and introduce yourself to me in the paint hanger stencil room when I took it over 17 yrs. ago. You always had a smile on your face and would come say good morning everyday 🙂 and always make me laugh … One day you had a great idea 😉 to introduce me to Wally Anderson and we are still married 17 yrs. later 🙂 and 2 Girls. Every time I would see you, you would not let me forget that it was you that introduced us all these years later 🙂 . For that, Jerry and your kind heart, I will be forever grateful.

I will remember the laughs we had on our car pools to Everett and the wonderful friendship you showed all these years later. I love you always and will miss you! In my heart forever, THANK YOU, JERRY XXOO MK

To my brother Jerry,

I remember I was only four years old when you were born. I was staying with our Jacobson cousins when mom and dad brought you home for the very first time. I was so excited to have you as my baby brother. We were always very close and cuddly as small children. Playing with hot wheels, reading books, wrestling and watching Nascar with dad. We would also run around in the woods, ride bikes, fish, and lite Fire Crackers.

As we grew in age our four year difference caused some issues. I was always playing in bands, hanging with the older groups and doing things we wanted PARENTS, not to know. I was always concerned about what you were being exposed to, or that you were seeing things you shouldn’t have. That might be the ingrained example that sent you and your crew to the kegerator during your, (high school lunch time foosball trips), to the house. Your group of young hoodlums however was always fun for me. I loved watching you guys clumsily navigate through puberty, girls, cars and life. Many laughs, you were all so entertaining.

You were also always proud of me as a drummer. It made me feel good, but, it was always a guarantee that if we were out and about near a band, you would be contacting them to have me sit in. You never cared what the band thought or even the drummer. You Insisted you brother was going to play. Right Dan? Well brother, I’m playing for you today.

You were also good at sporting a mullet, but then again, so could Gary. Yours just went away earlier than his. You could always be counted on, to help in any situation. You framed and demolished on our houses, helped build the pool, ran back hoes, laid flooring and worked on cars. The meticulous body work to Kris’ Camaro, and the show paint done in your garage was amazing to me. You were a good body man and a respected Boeing painter, with a reputation of getting it done. It was cool when you went to Kansas to paint Air Force 1. Still waiting for that autographed pic from President Reagan… Your paint trip to Japan was also cool.

I very much enjoyed the times we would go fishing in the sound. The whole family often went. I remember when Kim lost her cell phone overboard off Three Tree, and Dennon and Kennis bout jumped out the boat near Blake Island. A large Eagle up in the distance eyeing us swooped down and snatched the Rock Cod right next to the boat.

Jerry, I know we often fought like cats and dogs, and you sometimes thought I didn’t appreciate, or accept, you. That is so far from true. I trusted you much and was very proud you were my brother. You had a good heart, a willingness to share, and were loyal as the dog you were. Supporting the kids in all their events made them very happy. All the soccer, baseball and those many, many, recitals was the true test of brotherhood.

Everywhere I look or go I think of you. There is a sadness in every face I look into. I will think of you every day.

I will miss your parties at the house, and the evenings at the Tin or Elmer’s. We will have a drink and dance today in celebration of a great man. My little Brother Jerr.

We were so sad to miss the service of celebration for Jerry.

He was a constant, always out helping along his flowers in the rockery, always “staying ahead of it”, working on the cars or hanging above the garage. I can’t drive by without missing his smile. A good neighbor who we all very much enjoyed knowing. You absence is a hole in our little community Jerry. Tears and sorrow are ended for you.

Deepest blessings of healing to the family and close friends.

As a chapter in life closes, I promise to hold our friendship, love and all the memories of our time together close to my heart. Thinking of your silly ways will always make me laugh. I’m going to have to work at choosing to be happy with out Jerry, remember I told you happiness is a choice something you put on everyday, whether you feel like it or not. Eventually, your emotions will catch up to your thoughts. I guess I’ll be putting my advice to the test.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. You were the only person who could take one look at me and know what was going on in my heart. Until we meet again my beloved.

Love always Rae Ann.

From the moment I first met you, to the present, now our past; thought I never will forget you, a regret still pains my heart. Had I known, I would not have left you alone beneath those stars on the night when I last saw you, not knowing it was the last. Jerry my love, If I only had known, I would swallow my stupid pride and stay with you as you always wanted. My love, my dear Teddy bear, as I told you so many times, I loved you, I do love you and I always will love you….we will together soon….because without you …life is so painful. Until soon my love.

Yours always….

I am truly shocked loosing a good friend. He had a good heart wanting to help many people who needed it always looking at the positive in everyone. Working with him at Boeing he put hard work and humor in every day. Long time friend in such a short time. He will always be remembered. I know he is there with his loved ones and friends. It has taken me a while to do this. It has effected me, many friends especially his loved ones I am sure of that. He will be missed. Thank you Jerry for being a good person and friend. Forever.
