Obituary
Josephine Hague Meeker, 97, passed away peacefully at home January 19, 2013. She spent her final days surrounded by family. Born in Tacoma, August 22, 1915 and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Lincoln HS and a member of Trinity Methodist. Jo and her husband Ralph owned Meeker Shows for 50 years. Her spare time was devoted to: Eastern Star, Past Worthy Matron; Order of the Rainbow Girls, Past Worthy Advisor; Northwestern Showman’s Club (NWSC), Past President. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years and love of her life, Ralph Meeker; brother, Carlton and Alfred Hague. She leaves behind daughter, Sheila Tuttle (Bill), Lakewood. Son, Paul Meeker (Juanita) Puyallup. Sister, Dolores Eaton, Redwood City, CA. Her loving presence will be missed by 7 grand children and 7 great-grand children. Grandma was a role model. She displayed elegance and grace in everything she did.
Growing up I remember Joe and Ralph, sheila and Paul and manly good times at Meeker shows. she was a good woman
worked for Ralph and Miss Jo and Paul from 1982 to end of their show on Yakima in 1987.Due to the presence of being a true Showmen bred of the Meeker influences i am still on the Industry and am celebrating 40 yrs in this business this august 2014.I truly shall miss them both for their Integrity and their Kindness
