Obituary

Joyce A. Lines died August 18, 2006, after losing her battle with lung cancer.

Born February 17, 1943 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, she lived in many places throughout her life, including Fairbanks, Alaska; Jamestown, New York; and Phoenix, Arizona, before settling in Seattle, Washington in the late 1970s. Joyce spent most of her career in the food and beverage industry as it allowed her the opportunity to interact with the public, which she immensely enjoyed. She was so beloved by her clients, that they often followed her whenever she changed employment.

Surviving are her daughters, Lorilee Lines of Normandy Park and Lynette Hodgden and husband, Kevin, grandson, Tristan, and granddaughter, Blythe, of Longmont, Colorado; husband, Charles Nixon of Burien; sisters, Ramona Williamee of Eagle River, Alaska, Linda Gause and husband, Richard, of Gig Harbor; and Gloria Williamee of Maple Valley. She is also survived by nieces Kimberly Kilheffer and Kaleen Alvarado; nephew, Kent Alvarado, and a lifetime of cherished friends.

The memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Bonney-Watson located at 900 SW 146th Street in Burien. Pastor Harvey Buck of Crosswalk Ministries will officiate.

She was a great friend I could confide in and I knew she would always be there for me. She was always upbeat with a positive attitude that would uplift me. We were “best buddies” and I will miss her so.
