Sr. Ursula was always so joyful and friendly when she lived in the Providence convent behind labor and delivery. She would always visit our new mothers and be so kind to them. Once she translated for me with a French speaking mother in labor! I was very grateful!
I never knew her personnally, but the distinctive presence of the Sisters here at the hospital in Anchorage was always one of the things I liked about working here.
Sister, may you rest in peace with our Lord. I am the Administrative Assistant at Spiritual Care & Clinical Pastoral Education at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Thank you for laying the good foundation for our department — it has grown into full bloom. Many blessings to your family, and please know that the Sisters of Providence are also our family, too.
I worked with Sister Ursula the entire 14 years she served in Anchorage. She brought much peace to our patients, families and employees. One of my most treasured remembrances was her dedication and patience conversing with me in French!! I have a dear photo of her and Sr. Claire in my office. May she rest in peace. Colleen Bridge RN Alaska.
Sr. Ursula Emilie let me accompany her in her rounds of caring for the sisters in the Infirmary, in the summer of 1958, after my first vows. She shared with me her deep love for Jesus, and was a wonderful inspiration at the beginning of my religious life. I thank God for her presence in my life.
May Louise Beaulieu be rewarded for her years of faithful service.
