Marsha M. Simmons, age 54, died peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, March 18, 2012 in Seattle, WA. Marsha is survived by her husband of 30 years, Robert; daughters, Tina Tufts (Adam) and Michelle Marshall (Brian); three grandchildren, Liam, Brayden and Gabriel; brother, Jack Mathews (Kathy); sister, Susan Lee (David Rushan); several well loved nieces and nephews. A celebration of Marsha’s life will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 12:00 noon at BONNEY-WATSON Capitol Hill, 1732 Broadway, Seattle, WA.
Marsha was a very smart, artistic and funny woman…and a very brave one. She will be missed.
I worked with Marsha in Othello. Such an amazing lady. I helped her the year she was team captain for the Relay for Life. She was going through chemo and working hard to raise money for others that were going through the same thing. She was exhausted every day, but she never complained. She just focused on other people that needed her help.
The family did a wonderful job of memorializing her at the funeral. From the funny to the sad – it was a great way to remember her. She will be missed by many.
