I lived next door to Mary Ann for ten years in Burien. She was a wonderful neighbor. We had many laughs together. She shared all of her neighborhood memories with me and told of the good old days in the neighborhood. The last few years I spent in the neighborhood she knew what time I came home from work and would wait for me at the end of the drive to give me my mail.
Her Grandchildren and my son Mike we friends and shared many chldhood memories together. Mary Ann was a big part of our lives for many years.
Your mother was a wonderful friend and neighbor. I loved her, and we had many laughs together. She was always looking out for me so and putting Mr. Bertoldi in his place.
Even smacked him a few times to put him in his place…she was a fiesty lady and you had to love her for it. Thinking about those times makes me smile and laugh about it today. Even though there was a thirty year age differance between us, she looked after me like her own daughter at times and other times as her good friend.
God Be with all of you in your time of loss. Your in my prayers.

My grandmother MaryAnn Elmer had a great loving heart and loved to give, she gave me twinkies in the morning and afternoon befor and after shcool, and ill never forget the mini cans of apple juice, And who can forget GRANDMAS MAGIC MEDICINE or the HAPPY CAMPER pills when we were being little stinkers. I remember when after school my grandma would make me right over and over an entire page of words to help make me learn to spell and i will never forget it. After home work grandma, grandpa, My brother Dustin and I would all play a card game called THE OLD MADE and it is still a favorite of mine.My grand parents allways have been their for me and my family from supporting us at every sporting event, To taking us to the docters and dentists always followed by DAIRY QUEEN!!! I still remember like yesterday my grandma pinching my butt, And the way she rubbed her pink robe string accros her lips because she liked the way it felt so soft. Thats some of the great thinngs i would like to share with you about how lucky we all are to have had my grandma in out lives. GOD BLESS YOU GRANPA,you will allways be in my heart.
My sincere condolences to your family during this time of sorrow. May the love from family and friends carry you through your grief and may the God of all comfort soothe your hearts with his promise for a future resurrection.–John 5:28, 29
I have lived 25′ from Bill,”Ace” and Marry Ann for 38+ years, sat next to Kathy in the first grade. Tami was14. I never have had a problem with them, great neighbors! Marry Ann was fiesty, yes she put me in my place a couple of times but I probably deserved it. Watching her go down hill the last 10-12 years has been hard to watch. The suffering is over and we will meet in a better place. “GOD BLESS HER”
My Family and I have live in this neighborhood for 38 years 2 doors from where Mary Ann’s Daughter Tami lives. I will miss that great smile of hers and the wavy she always gave when she was going by. She had a heart of gold you could tell, just by hearing her say hi to you. Our prayer go out to the family at this time in there lives, May God Bless and take care them. I’m sure she will be missed as she was truly loved.
I have known Bill and Maryann my whole life they have always been good to me, Maryann would make me when ever I would see her which usually was in John’s driveway with her giving him a hard time it was very entertaining. Thanks for the memories Maryann and the custom built hydroplanes to be towed behind my bike I will always remember that Bill.My deepest and most sincere condolences from me and my family.
My sincere condolences to the Elmer family. It is so hard to lose one so special. Cheri and Tami and I skated together many years ago. We were close like sisters then. I remember many kindnesses from all of you, as well as efforts made by the whole family so that we could go do what we loved to do, even at crazy, early hours of the morning. Your mom’s love and support was so apparent then, and will be with you always.
My thoughts are with you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Mary Ann treated me very well those long years ago.
