I could never have asked for a better Grandpa. I will always remember the many things you taught me and the great memories I was lucky enough to collect.

When I was little Dad would have the same routine getting ready for work: Put on a pot of Folgers, put on two pieces of bacon & go shave. I would lean my chin on the sink and be mezmorized at his skill with his razor and then he’d splash Aqua Velvet on! I can almost smell it thinking of him! Then he’d fry a couple of eggs, have some toast, finish his breakfast, and go to work. He worked so hard providing for us kids! If it wasn’t for him working at Howard’s station we wouldn’t have had the best seat at the HIYU parade atop one of the trailers! Cherished memories.I am so thankful he was my Dad. Love you Dad.

My Dad, I love you, I will miss you, I will cherish the time we had together, I will always remember how wonderful you were, how you were a no nonsense guy, a creature of habit, a hard worker, how you could fix just about anything, how you cared about people, how wonderful it felt to have you walk me down the isle when I married Gary, how happy you were when Michelle was born to hold her, how great it was to share with you when we went to get your suit for Joni’s wedding how sharp you looked in it, and when you got to wear it for Michelle’s wedding how handsome you looked! I love you always and forever! Sandi

PS I don’t remember the bacon as much as the bologna and eggs and toast Jerri.

I worked with Smokey and Al Willis at Boeing and I remember my two friends fondly. Their bright faces greeted me as I arrived for work each day. My condolences go out to Smokey’s family and loved ones for their loss. Fly with the Angels.
