My fondest memory of Bob was when he said he and his dear friend, Phyliss were soul mates. His last visit to Seattle, Bob was getting ready to head out to aventure the blue waters. His excitement and sense of being were very spirited. My friend of a short time will be missed in body. My friend of a short time is with his soulmate forever and ever. His person being will never be forgotten. I wish I could have known him sooner, however the important thing is that I did meet Bob on a few occssions and Every kind word that has been spoken for so many, are near not enough. May you watch over those loved.

The City of Seattle will be forever grateful for Dr. Riggle’s work on behalf of Seattle’s animals. The employees he worked with, and the citizens he worked for, have suffered a terrible loss. He will always be remembered with great fondness and appreciation.

We’ve heard alot about Bob’s adventuresome spirit and his ability as a sailor. But he also volunteered for Operation Nightwatch, serving homeless people in Seattle, for more than a decade.

That sort of dedication and compassion are qualities that we all hope to be remembered for – making an impact by easing the suffering of others.

Thank you for the opportunity to show another side to of a wonderful man. His loss is felt by so many.

I served with Lt. Robert Riggle while stationed in Kunsan AB south Korea between 1967 and 1968. I was assigned as the public health sgt. and shared an office the the Lt. and a Vet Tech. The Lt was one of the few officers who did his job well but was not affected by rank. He even allowed me to photograph a spaying operation he had to preform. Although late I know pass on my condolences.
