In Loving Memory of Aaron Gregory (July 1,1989-January 21, 2024)
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Aaron Gregory on January 21, 2024. Aaron, at the young age of 34, left behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and an enduring spirit.
Born on July 1, 1989 in Seattle, Washington, Aaron brought immeasurable joy to his family from the moment he entered their lives. He was known for his infectious smile, compassionate heart, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. Aaron was a loving son, father, and a loyal friend, cherishing every moment spent with his beloved mother and daughter, his faithful Rachael Cook, his truest friends Brock Hansen, Cory Branch, and Greg Biske. Aaron’s genuine and caring nature endeared him to those fortunate enough to know him, creating lasting bonds that will be cherished forever. He had a heart as big as his sense of humor and was always there to offer a joke, a shoulder to lean on, or both simultaneously.
Aaron was an avid outdoorsman at heart, enjoying archery and fishing. He loved planes, trains, and automobiles from the time he was a little boy. He grew that passion for the railroad by becoming a conductor for Ballard Terminal Railroad, eventually becoming an engineer. Aaron was a natural mechanic and was always there to help his friends when the need arose, often getting their cars back on the road at his own expense.
Aaron’s absence leaves us with an irreplaceable void and a profound sense of loss, but we find solace in the memories he leaves behind. Aaron is survived by his mother and stepfather, Diana and Brad Swartz, his daughter, Kaylin Gregory, and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Keith Gregory, and his sister Michelle Lynne Gregory.
A Celebration of Life to honor Aaron will be held on Sunday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Real Art Studios located at 5412 S. Tacoma Way, Suite B, Tacoma (same location as the Beyond Thunderdome Cafe). Please come as you are, casual dress, and we welcome you to share your memories of Aaron. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to PEER Washington https://www.peerwa.org/supportus in hopes that Aaron’s passing will make a difference to those who continue to fight their way out of addiction.
Fly free, Aaron, in your newfound peace, and may your memory continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
