Obituary

Beloved wife, mother and grandma, Agnes passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2006 in Chehalis, Washington, at age 95. Agnes was born on a farm in Crookston, Minnesota on May 17, 1911, to Carl J. and Hannah Moe. On September 19, 1931, she married Alfred George Lindberg and had five children. They moved to Seattle in 1941, just months before WWII, for a better life and job opportunities. While raising her family, Agnes also worked for 18 years as a supervisor in the Boeing cafeteria. She was very active in her church, and enjoyed time with her family, gardening, canning, quilting, and preparing large meals at every opportunity, especially for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. In 1973, she and George retired to spend winters in Casa Grande, Arizona, and summers on Spencer Lake in Shelton, Washington. She took great pride in sharing her Norwegian heritage with her family and instilled the love of those traditions to her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered fondly and missed deeply.

Agnes is survived by her husband of 75 years, Alfred George Lindberg; 5 children: Georgie Radnich Jack, Claire Tate Gary, Jerry Lindberg Barbara, Jim Lindberg Trudy, Jack Lindberg Judy; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 2 great- great-grandchildren.

A memorial and graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at 12:30 p.m. at Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, 16445 International Boulevard, in SeaTac.
