My thought and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Mrs. McConnaughey was my third grade teacher at Crestview Elementary. I have many memories of her.

I had Mrs.McConnaughey as my third grade teacher at Crestview Elementary.I was so mad when I first heard she was going to be my teacher, but by the end of the

year she was my favorite teacher. Nine years later when I graduated from High School she was the only teacher that I invited to attend my graduation and she did. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was not only a great teacher but also a great lady.

I find I am at a loss for words. Even though I have not spoken to Aileen for several years I felt a great loss when I read of her passing. I have many fond memories of many hours at her home playing Barbie dolls and picking crab apples in the back yard. The “snipe hunt” Ralph took me on was a story that was long remembered and always brought laughter when it was told for the umteenth time. I remember hanging on to the back of his truck dragging a bag in the ditch while calling “here snipe, snipe, snipe!” Paul and Mary Ellen, My thoughts are with you. How lucky you are to have been able to have your mother for so many years!

I was so blessed to be able to have a Nana like her. She was always there for us no matter what. My one wish is that she could have met my daughter who was born two days before she passed. I do believe she is a part of Neva though, and will be with me every day. I will miss her greatly. I love you Nana!!
