There are things that we give to each other in life that we have no idea we have given. We touch each other in ways we can’t even imagine.

Alan you touched me, and I will never forget you.

I will miss you.

Kelly, Sandy, Don and the rest of the Ogilvie family,

Our apologies for not being there today; The twins are still pretty young to be sitting quietly through such solemn event, but we got a detailed account from my mom. It sounds like it was a beautiful memorial filled with Love and wonderful and joyous memories. It is truly a blessing to pass surrounded by your loved ones. Too many make that journey all alone. I’m sure that Alan knew all of you were there and your love gave him the courage to not be afraid.

May your best memories bring you comfort and respite from your grief, and may you and your family find solace in knowing that Alan has found the ultimate bliss; the troubles of life have fallen away. His love for you all will always be with you and is stronger than ever.

Prayers and love to you all,

Michael, Amy, Brandon, Atticus and Jackson McClure

Memories,

Alan was a long-time childhood friend and running buddy. We were like brothers and did everything together. Alan was my best man at my wedding and also my daughter Michele’s godfather. The moments I’ll miss the most is Alan’s bulljiving and playfulness. He was a kid at heart. He used to tease me about my studdering when we were in grade school and gave me a nickname of monkeytalk. I also remembered a time when Alan reached into his pocket when we were walking to a restaurant in Sun River and asked me if I wanted a sour ball. I bit into it thinking it was a sour ball but come to find out it was actually a lava rock he had picked up earlier. I almost chipped one of my teeth. We both had a laugh. I will also miss our many talks as I waited for my wife Rose to get off work. His place was where I spent alot of time. Those memories and many others will be with me forever.

I was saddened to hear of Alan’s sudden passing. I was an old friend of his from our high school days. He was also godfather to my daughter, Michele Bautista Gibson, when she was baptized. Though I haven’t seen Alan in a few years I will always have fond memories of good old times with him, our friends and his brothers at his Mom’s house and the late nite trips to the neighborhood backyard rib joint. Remember that Don? My heartfelt sympathy to the Ogilvie family.

My heart & prayers goes out to all family and friends of Uncle Alan’s. He will be missed by us all. One of my fondest memories were when weMichele, Sasha, Kelly, Shay and myself would go and celebrate Halloween together @ Beacon Hill. Its funny how I go there now to go trick or treating with my ladies son, Jaden, althogh I live in North Seattle. I hope to share those great times with him and remember those times I spent with Uncle Alan.
