Bud was a great man and friend of us all. Our family has always considered Bud as one of us. If it wasn’t for Bud my mother Rayola wouldn’t have been able to continue to head south for the winter followng my father’s and Vera’s passing which she enjoyed so mucih! Bud alway’s talked about how proud he was of his daughter Nancy, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nephews and nieces! Our condolences go out to all of them!!
Uncle Bud and Auntie Vera meant the world to me. (Rae and Bub were great too.) So thankful Al remained in my life via my parents all these years. I really look forward to seeing Nancy, Tina, and hopefully some of the 7th Pl. So. neighbors in May.
I was one of many people that you knew, but when i meet you i knew that you and i were going to be in each others lives. My heart belonged to you soon after that and always. Rest in Peace my dear friend and forever the holder of my Heart. I love You.
So lucky to of known for the last 50 years. You were loved by many and will be missed by many.
I glad to have a Grandpa as wonderful as you.I Love You and you will be in my heart forever.
Bud always remembered his roots even though he was young when his folks took off on the Lincoln Hwy to settle in Washington. He stayed connected to us and always let us know about our family in Seattle. He always had a good story to tell, laughter, and even a little advice once in awhile. Our family has lost someone who has touched each one of us. The world was a better place with Al, we will miss him.
Uncle Bud was instrumental in getting our family reunions started. Family was very important to him as was seeing everyone get together. His extended “family” is very extensive and he loved every one of them.
Since the passing of Rayola, uncle Bud and I became very good friends beyond just the normal uncle nephew relationship. I will miss our Tuesday and Thursday dinners together, our visits, his jokes, and his caring interest in my life.
Dad i’m going to miss you so much we were always very close but grew to be even closer as the time went on there aren’t enough words in the world to say in how much i love you and will miss you and all the memories we had together you will always be in my heart thank you for being my dad
Grandpa…U ment the world to all of us and impacted so many peoples lives. U were an outstanding man with great family values. I’m honored I got to your granddaughter and will miss you more than words can say. The holidays won’t be the same without you following mom around and making sure she is cooking everything just the right way. I love you and forever in my heart you will be. I love You
Grandpa you’ve touched my life in so many wonderful ways! I can’t thank you enough for being there for me & helping me through some rough times! Living with you and grandma was a moment in life I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.
But mostly, the love and memories you’ve blessed me with will always live on in my heart forever!! I love you ~ Grandpa!
P.S. Give Dad, Grandma & Rayola a hug for me!
Wow. what an amazing journey and a long fulfilled life you were blessed to live. Although we never met officially, I just want to say thank you for sharing Nancy. Through her we got to hear all about you and your life’s adventures. Experiencing her love and love for family makes us believe she was raised by a great man.
You are truly living your best life now.
Lots of love from family in Virginia
I will never forget the memory of my Grandpa, he taught me a lot about growing up and being a man. When I was in elementary school Grandpa always had his motor home at my house and when he would come over to work on it I would go out and help him. I loved to spend time with my Grandpa and go places with him. As I got older my Dad started to take my brother and I to go have dinner with my grandpa at Vinces Italian Restaurant on Mondays. I would walk from my high school, Kennedy, to his condo before we would leave.
I look at all this time I got to spend with my Great Grandpa and think that I’m lucky because most people don’t even get to know their great-grandpa but I wish that I still had one more day to spend with him.
I worked with Bud from 1974 until he retired, we had a lot of fun together and sometimes at the expense of others, I will probably tell our stories for the rest of my life ,,so many fond memories . I will never forget.
Bud –
