I know my few wordshere arn’t going to make Alden’s passing any easier for your family. However I still wish to express my sincere condolences to all. I have very fond memories of gatherings at Royal City, sleeping out on the lawn, eating roasted pork and eating, eating and more eating. Then came trying to play Badmiton, or in fact do much at all after all that eating. I remember Alden showing me how to thread the baling twine into the baler, the proper knots to tie when connecting one roll of twine to the next. We discussed how to properly rake the swathed alfalfa into baling rows, and how to tell when it was dry and ready to bale. It was ready to bale when it was stem dry but had to have some moisture from the morning dew, generally at about 2:00 A.M. Alden spent time with me in Thorp showing me how to plow, disc and as I recall most everything associated with raising hay. Those memories will always be with me as yours will always remain with you. Again my sincere condolences.
