Obituary
Alf Losnegard
Alf Losnegard was born August 5, 1927, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2014, at Franciscan Hospice House in Tacoma Washington.
Alf was born on the Island of Losna, Norway, and resided in Burien, Washington, most of his life. After serving as a Merchant Marine during WWII, he continued life at sea as a commercial fisherman trolling the waters from Alaska to Mexico and worked at Cascade Oil during the winter months.
Alf enjoyed all aspects of life, including the Seattle Seahawks & making others laugh. He liked telling stories of his growing up years and the cultural “shock” he had during his time traveling from Norway to Seattle as a child. He was a caring and wonderful person who is loved very much by his family and friends. Alf will be greatly missed.
Alf was preceded in death by his wife Dagmar Losnegard, sister Emily Stretch (Jack), brother Hans Losnegard (Martha), and parents Nels and Petra Losnegard.
Alf is survived by his wife Vonnetta Diane Losnegard; three children: Steve Losnegard (Leah), Suzanne Bratcher (Kevin), and Diane Easter; and three stepchildren: Chad (Shauna) Dubuque, Alycia (Brian) Walker and Tony Dubuque; five grandchildren: Adam Losnegard (Camilla), Lisa Reynolds (Marc), Kevin Blaylock (Lilly), Monica Blaylock (Adam), Lena Morales; two step-grandchildren: Corbin and Deborah Walker; eight great-grandchildren: Carlee Losnegard, Austin Reynolds, Connor Losnegard, Cole Cook, Miguel Velasquez, Melania Morales, Myla and Dylan Marshall; four nephews: John Stretch (Carol), Jim Stretch, Kim Losnegard (Debbie), and Jeff Losnegard (Pete); two nieces: Lynne Donovan (Pat) and Joann Smith (Pat).
