We want to express our condolences during your time of bereavement. We are the daughters of Christine Shyne White from Cullen, La. We will keep you lifted up in our prayers. We know that is not easy but the Lord will not give you any more than you can bear.
Mrs. Merritt was my neighbor for over 15 years. She was a lovely, dignified lady. My daughter rides horses and Mrs. Merritt would share her stories about her horse Roxie and the riding outfit her father bought her to wear. She had a wonderful dry sense of humor. If I hadn’t been to visit in a while and greeted her with “Hi, remember me?” She might respond with a pretend frown and say: “well, just barely”. Years ago at one of her yard sales, I bought two exquisitely made tea towels that she had sewn. When I use them, I will remember her.
‘Lay down dear mother, lay down and take your rest. Lay your head upon my saviour’s breast. I loved you, but Jesus loves you the best and I bid you good night, good night, good night.’
With great admiration and respect,
Suzanne
To Serada Tigner and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you today. I am Aunt Allie Mae’s great-neice, the last child of her late neice,Christene Shyne White and Napoleon White,Sr. My Mom named me after Aunt Allie. I was blessed to meet her in 1985 when I visited my sister Mildred. She was so sweet and kind to me. I am honored to have her name. She was so beautiful. I will always remember her. May God bless all of you. Love & Prayers, Allie Mae & Family
Mildred White Dade, great niece, daughter of Christine Shyne Whitedeceased niece. Aunt Allie was like a second mother to me. She helped me on my feet when I came to Seattle. She took care of me and she was always very supportive. She was there for all of her love ones when they needed her. I love you, beautiful Aunt Allie and I will miss you very much.
Love, Mildred, Jed, Sean, and Frank.
Rest in Peace Aunt Allie. You’ll be missed but not forgotten.
Aunt Allie was a beautifal person filled with wisdom and knowledge. She will be greatly missed. God chose a lovely flower to be planted in his garden.
Love, Mae
God promised me strength for the day and I know he will not put upon me anymore than I can bear. My prayer is that God will continue to give my family and me strength as we cherish Mom’s memories. Love, Serada.
Aunt Allie and my grandmother took care of my brothers, sisters and me when our mother passed. I will never forgot the great care she provided to us. Coming to Seattle will not be the same anymore without Aunt Allie.
Aunt Allie was a quiet person and loved everybody. I already miss her wisdom, love, understanding and laugher. She taught my brothers, sisters and me so much and I will always remember what she did to help us.
When I came to work for you Mother Merritt you was so kind and sweet. My husband and myself fell so much in love with you. We really enjoyed the second Sundays with singing and praying together. I enjoyed taking care of you, as your caregiver and friend. We cherish your friendship, and we will miss you very much.
Love, Clarence, Jean, and Sean
