Alma Lee was really one of a kind….she had such a kind heartedness and love for the Lord. She was my son Rian’s first Sunday school teacher at First Baptist church in Longview…and she was the best. Alma Lee loved the kids and was so patient that only comes from the Lord ! with them. I actually knew Steve back in Jr. High Good old Monticello, and I told Alma Lee about the time there was the talent show, and the skit that Steve did….she just laughed and rolled her eyes….she loved her family.

She is a great lady….”She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also, and he praises her. Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing , but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.” Proverbs 31:27-31

We are so sorry for your loss, Scrantons. We had the pleasure of meeting Alma Lee at some of the Brother to Brother functions through the years. She was a sweet, lovely lady. What a thrill to know that she’s with our Savior at this very moment!

May God comfort you and your family! Alma Lee was our youngest son, Gregory’s, first ‘real’ non-nursery Sunday School teacher at FBC, Longview back in 1988 when he was 3 yrs old. He loved her dearly and couldn’t wait to go see ‘Miz ‘Cranton’ each week. We praise God for her willingness to share Jesus’ love with the little ones. ‘Gragree’ as she called him in her Texas accent : has been a Christian for many years. Praise God for Alma Lee! It will be a wonderful reunion when we all see her again in the presence of Jesus!

To the family and friends of Alma Scranton:

Please accept my condolences regarding Ms. Scranton. The death of a loved one can be a painful experience. However, at Revelation 21:3,4, the Bible shows that there will come a time when “death will be no more.” The Bible shows that there will be a time when we can see our dead loved ones again. John 5:28,29

There is more that I would like to share with you regarding this message. Please feel free to contact me via e-mail.

Yours truly,
