Obituary
Alvina Rose Frizzell
January 18, 1916 – July 30, 2013
Alvina Rose Bliesner Frizzell, of Edmonds, went to be with her beloved Jesus on July 30th. She was 97 years old. Born in Waverly, WA, she was raised on a Fairfield, WA farm by Gus and Emma Bliesner with her 5 siblings.
In 1936, she married Delbert Frizzell. They were together until his death in 1987. Idaho was their home until they moved to the Puget Sound area in 1948. A life-long homemaker, she created a warm and loving home for her 6 children – Darlene, Lavonne, Allen, David, Joann & Shannon. Her love did not stop with her own family. She was a foster mom to many, many foster children and grandchildren. A parent by birth, choice, and vocation, she leaves a legacy of Christian life and committed service.
Preceded in death by a grandson, Alvina is survived by an older brother, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great-greats in addition to an ensemble of foster children and good friends who loved her and will forever miss her. There was always room for one more at her table, in her home and in her heart.
Service will be held Sunday August 4th at 4:00 p.m. at Living Way Church, 400 North 105th St Seattle.
