Obituary
Born on February 11, 1931 in Round Butte, Montana. Alysce (Jo) Kostelecky passed away May 27th after a brief battle with cancer; she was surrounded by her family.
Jo was a long time resident and business owner in Des Moines. She was an avid bowler and loved the 15 plus years she spent in Alaska where she spent every weekend during the summer months fishing from her second home, her boat. Survived by sons Theodore Kostelecky and (Pete), Clifford, Randolph and (Gail), Wyatt and (Dee), and daughter Deborah Margerum, two sisters, Nadine Porter and Kathleen and Rich Ochs, and Brothers Elmer and Zerine Loose. She had 13 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, and a special thanks to Gwen Barbee for her compassionate help in the final weeks.
Grammy’s passing will leave an empty place that will never be filled. She was a special person that could always be counted on. You alway’s knew that you would be welcomed at Grammy’s the coffee was on and she was ready to talk or listen to you.
