Obituary
Anna M. “Sis” Chambers, 93, was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 3, 2005 in Federal Way, Washington where she lived for the past 17 years. She was born March 17, 1912 on a farm southwest of Elma, Iowa. She grew up in Howard and Chickasaw Counties and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School, Elma, Iowa in 1930. She married in 1940. The couple moved to a farm in the Alta Vista area, then to Charles City and Austin, Minnesota. During this time their 4 children were born.
Anna settled with her children and parents in Elma, Iowa in 1945. She enjoyed visiting her children after they had grown and moved to Federal Way, Washington in 1987 to be closer to her youngest grandchildren. She spent her remaining years traveling, spending time with friends and family and enjoying life.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ella Palmersheim and brother, Matt Palmersheim and his wife Delores, brother Joe Palmersheim, and is survived by her sister-in-law Vi Palmersheim, and children, MaryAnn Bennett Marlowe of Rochester, Minnesota, Betty Palmer Johnny of Slayton, Minnesota, John Chambers Sharon of Wausaukee, Wisconsin, and Tom Chambers Karen of Federal Way, Washington; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral Service to be held Saturday 4-9-05 in Elma, Iowa. Arrangements by BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, SeaTac, WA.
