A former resident of Seattle, WA and current resident of Puyallup, WA, Anna Marie Rosdahl passed away on August 23, 2024.
Anna Marie (Wersinger) was born on July 11, 1930, in West Hazelton, PA to Robert F. Wersinger and Mrytle P. Wersinger (Winters).
She was introduced by friends to Robert E. Rosdahl in Bremerton, WA and later married Robert on October 6, 1954. They lived in White Center and then moved to South Seattle where she and Robert raised four sons. They were married for 42 years.
Although her primary role was a homemaker, Anna Marie worked as a telephone operator, a school cook (Southern Heights Elementary), a baker/cake designer and a bookkeeper (B & B Auto Parts).
In addition to supporting her sons and attending various family events, Anna Marie volunteered in the PTA, as a classroom helper, a Cub Scout den mother, a girls softball coach (Sweet Peas), a soccer referee, a chaperone (school and church), at various church activities (vacation Bible school, fundraisers, senior groups, garage sales) and more.
Anna Marie loved the holidays, neighborhood gatherings, baking, cooking, camping, fishing, gardening, community events, farmers markets, music, theatre, movies, sports, swimming, knitting/crocheting, cruises, vacationing with family and friends, Bible studies, family videos and playing cards/board games. Over the years, Anna Marie had many pets (dogs, cats, birds etc.).
Preceding her in death were her parents Robert F. and Myrtle P. Wersinger, her husband, Robert E. Rosdahl (1997), her brother, Robert F. “Bingo” Wersinger Jr. (2017) and her sister, Regina F. Scripko (2018).
Surviving are her four sons: Keith Allen (Deborah), Steven Lee, Bruce Eugene (June) and David Carl. Anna Marie, “nana”, is survived by five grandchildren: Joshua Rosdahl, Lydia Peterson (Robert), Alicia Rosdahl, Parker Rosdahl and Cody Herron, and two great grandchildren: Luke and Ethan Peterson. Additionally, she is survived by Jacqueline and Robert Herron, her nieces and nephews (Robert, Tim, Sue Ann, Jeanette, Thomas and William) as well as many friends.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to your local Humane Society, your local fire department, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
