Obituary
Anthony “Tony” Derrow was born in Kansas City on October 4, 1939, to McKinley and Bertha Derrow.
He served for 22 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Petty Officer First Class in 1978 and then went on to work for the U.S. Post Office for 18 years.
Sheryl met her best friend, and love of her life in 1955. Unbeknownst to them at the time, she became his bride on June 13, 1964. They were married for 61 years.
Tony Loved to fish, cowboy action shooting (“Kiowa Jack”), Watching YouTube and barbecuing (He was well known for his briskets -Restaurant Quality!)
He was a self-less man who was a constant source of love, support, and wisdom to anyone who needed his help.
He loved and was proud of his service in the US Navy. He used to (sort of) joke that if he could re-enlist he would.
Tony was a dedicated husband, loving father, grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheryl Derrow, son Michael Derrow, daughter in law Autumn Derrow, grandsons, Kumar, Niko. Samuel, and Merra, and adopted niece Ruth Donahue, and many other nieces and nephews.

It’s hard to believe you’re gone. We’re all here today to honor the incredible life you lived and the profound impact you had on each of us. We will always cherish the memories we made, especially, your infectious laugh,” “your unwavering kindness,” “the way you always knew how to brighten a room. Your spirit will continue to live in our hearts. Rest in peace.
