Obituary

Anthony “Tony” Lui, age 43, passed away on January 16, 2023 in Federal Way, WA after a one-year battle with brain cancer. He was born in Portland, OR to parents Sing and Susan Lui. On March 28, 2015 he married Christine Fong. He is survived by his wife, son Jaden, daughter Katie, grandmother Gui, parents, and brother Michael.

Anthony was the first in his family to graduate college, earning a degree in Accounting from Portland Community College.

In 2007, he left Portland to take a position at the Airport Mail Facility with the United States Postal Service in Seattle, WA. He was proud of his occupation, and quickly became fiercely protective of his coworkers. This led to Anthony becoming deeply involved in the American Postal Workers Union. He attended many state and national conventions as an elected delegate and developed his skills by completing all union trainings that were available, with the intention of defending his coworkers.

Anthony spent his free time connecting with people, foremost his family, but distributed his time amongst many others, including friends, coworkers, and fellow Christians. He loved watching sports, and was an unabashed homer for his Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners, and Portland Trailblazers.   Anthony will always be remembered for his gleeful distinct laugh, selflessness, and pure heart.
