Arlene worked for several retirement homes for many years and performed several positions including nursing. She is also survived by her sisters, Rose Gnat (Gordon Gnat) and Joan Leber (Erwin Leber, deceased) and preceded in death by her sister Jean Prokopec (Richard Prokopec, deceased) and survived by several nieces and nephews. A small private memorial service is to be held at a later date in her current hometown of Federal Way.
So sorry to hear about “Auntie Arlene.” My sympathy goes out to Uncle Ray, my cousins Raymond & Michele & Michele’s son Jacob. I am sure my mom, her sister who passed away 10 years ago, was happy to see her. I loved the pictures attached to her obituary. As I have not seen her in many years, I remember those scenes from the 70’s and 80’s when we all lived local. My families thoughts and prayers are with you. It’s so hard to lose “mom.”
Michele, many years over 40 to be exact we’ve all been friends. We are all going to miss your mom and the fun we all had growing up together.
Though we couldn’t be there in Federal Way, I know your mom knows we sent our love.
Our condolences to your dad and brother and you and Jacob.
Our condolences to the entire family on mom and dads side.
Best friends forever!!
Michele, I have often thought about how you and your son are doing. So sorry to hear about your mom. Hope Uncle Ray and Raymond are ok. My email address is smeinke@msn.com. I would love to hear from you and get “caught up”. My daughter is a sophmore in college and vaguely remembers your mom from looking at the pictures you put online. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
