I was sorry to learn that Arna had passed away. She was

a great neighbor for forty six years until I moved away. She

certainly packed a lot of happy living in her 95 years. She

will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In October 1996 I came to Seattle. I met Grandma Arna at the community center in Burien. She taught me how to speak and write English. Even though I could not speak or understand English well. With hand signals and really short sentences Grnadma Arna invited me for lunch at her house. She gave me turkey from the day before. I remember cleaning up, while Grandma Arna just watched. She loved how I cleaned, so from then on my relationship with Grandma Arna grew. I give thanks to God becuase even though Grandma Arna didnt know me well she opened her doors for my family. She is an angel becuase she was alwasy there for me through the diificult times and the good. She always supported me. Grandma Arna would celebrate hoildays with my family. She was part of my family, she loved my children just like her own grand children. She showed me how to cook Ammerican food. Her garlic bread, cake, BQQ and pasta recipe, she gave to me and I well keep it in my family. Grandma Arna supported me throughout my marriage and relationship with Bill. Grandma Arna will live in my heart forever because she is my angel. She is a angel that God gave to me. I love Grandma Arna with all my heart and she will never be forgotten.
