Dear family,

I loved visiting Uncle Art and Aunt Edith as a kid…I remember the giant wooden spoon and fork ? in the dining room and was amazed at the concept of liquid laundry detergent…their house was the first place I saw “whisk”, I think. They were so proud of Ron! I love you guys, even though I soooo rarely see you! We’ll all be together again someday and what good times! Remember all the holidays at Grandma Carstensens? I especially remember the house that overlooked Puget Sound and that glorious Mt.Rainier..xo Cousin Karen

I remember so many times spent with Uncle Art and Aunt Edith. They were both very special people. As a kid I loved going to their home and just hanging out and Uncle taking me to Boeing to see the big planes. He was so full of love and fun. He will be greatly missed, but praise God he is reunited with Aunt Edith and what a party they are having in heaven!! Ron and Doreen, you are in my prayers now and always. I love you guys…

I remember showing up with five other girls, and mom with her pots and pans. Uncle & Auntie welcomed us all so we could watch Wenatchee compete in the basketball state championships at the U of W. Brigit ran to Ronnie’s room while we invaded the living room and basement with sleeping bags and curlers. Laughingly, Uncle said, he’d never seen such large pots or so much food prepared. Always generous and hospitable, we’ll miss him greatly.
