I am sorry to have met Art and Jane so late in life. But he grew up with my mother, Hjordis, & her siblings & so shared many memories of family w/me. Art went with my sister Carole Larsen, cousin Karen Ham & me to visit the graves of our family as we do each Memorial Day weekend we call it ‘The Cemetery Hop!. This year we will return the favor and visit the resting place of Art & Jane.

We will miss Art’s upbeat spirit. He taught me that one can always find joy in life with the right attitude.

I’m sure he & Jane are still dancing!

Mr. Sivertson hired me as a 1st year teacher! in 1967!!! He was a great man! I was so lucky to start my career with such a wonderful man and principal! He was so good to me, as with us all. Later, when he was in personnel, he again helped me with new and different jobs. I loved him!

He honored me by coming to my retirement party, and I loved it!!!

Bill enjoyed him as a principal and fellow golfer!

I knew Art through the FW school district. I spent all my 40 years at Lakota Jr. High but had many occasions to work with him and observe him over the years. What a wonderful man. He had a very positive impact on all of us.I am so glad to know that we will meet again in the presence of our Lord.

Art will be sorely missed at the Vesterdalen Sons of Norway Lodge meetings and special events. Even after Jane was gone, Art continued to come as often as he could. He was one of the most generous and gracious men we have ever known. Art and Jane were a very special couple and we will miss them both.
