Arthur Raymond Dahlen, Jr.
Arthur was born October 19, 1941 in Devils Lake, ND, and died July 22, 2011 in Renton, WA at the age of 69. Art served in the US Marine Corps, and retired from Delta Airlines after 30 years of service. Art is survived by his wife of 43 years Claudia Dahlen; daughters Shelley Anderson, Candi Ian Capperauld, and son Arthur Dahlen III; grandsons Cheyne, Kyle, and Blake; granddaughters Chelsea, and Sallie; sisters Jackie Sampson, Darlene Johnson, and Joan Young; many nieces and nephews, and best friend and Marine Corp buddy Mike McKinney. Preceded in death by his parents Art and Irene Dahlen; sisters Dorothy Vix, Laverne Davis, Orinne Weaver, Shirley Freije. Memorial Service Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 1:00pm at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 18207 108th Ave. SE, Renton, WA 98055, 425-226-1480.

Rest in peace my dear Uncle Art. Growing up you were always so exciting to me.You left me with so many memories and you will be missed. I know when you closed your eyes here you opened them in heaven with so many dear hearts to meet you.Give them all hugs for me ok ?God bless you and we will see you again.

It is hard to let you go, I am going to miss your quips in facebook. I always knew you would be there for great insight. I so looked forward to your thoughts and family expertise. My Uncle Art was so funny and he loved everybody. He enjoyed life. I will miss him and he is in our hearts.I love you Uncle Art you are awesome to Aunt Claudia. Say hi to everybody in heaven for me okay especially my bro Marcus tell him I cant wait to meet him. thankyou! I will remeber when I go to his house and talk with him he had a good smile on his face. I was sad when my mom told me my Uncle Art died. I feel so saddness.

We can’t think of Art without a smile in our hearts. He was a good man with a great outlook on life, and humor that kept us all smiling in his presence. He will be so missed. We hope you will find comfort in your memories . We know that this man will never be forgotten, and will always be loved.
Goodbye Uncle Art, you were always a shining star in my life. Their will not be a day that goes by that I won’t think of you and wish you were still here with us.
