His passion for life was shared with his loving bride Debbi Neve. He met Debbi at work where she was a customer service agent for the airline industry. They married October 29, 1990. Art, in the words of Mother Theresa, only your body is surrendered, your heart and soul will live forever. You are now in the presense of God. You will live on forever too in our hearts, in your children, through your grandchildren, through your family and friends. We are so proud of your strong, uncomplaining battle with cancer. You are our inspiration. We all love you. We are all so proud also of Debbi’s constant quality support and love for you especially during your illness. God bless you all. May the rest of us be as ready as you were for heaven and to be cared for so lovingly as you were by your wife, Debbi and family.
I remember Art with memories of the great times we had at Earlington grade school and when we kind of reunited when he and his family move to the Kenneydale area, where my family had
had move in 1956. My prayers are with his family.
Art,
Thank you for all the sweets that you left me for my 3am cravings.
Love Kellie

*****TAKE THIS CUP*****
Take this cup of comfort,
Drink fully of God’s love,
Taste the care with which it’s made,
By angels from above. Absorb the healing glow,
Of its warm and tender glow, And quench your spirit’s deepest thirst
With Love’s unceasing flow.

I will turn their mourning into joy, I will comfort them, and give them gladness for their sorrow.

I had the pleasure of working with Art for three years at the Port. Unfortunately for me it was only three years. I always admired his quick wit, sense of humor, and spirit during the tough days. We not only lost a great co-worker, but the Port lost a valued employee. I will truly miss Art.
Sincere sympathy to his family. Fond and lasting memories. Joe
this will sound really goofy, but whenever the bar of soap in the shower gets really small i think of my conversations w/Debbi about how she would try to suction/attach the little bar to the new big bar just like i do & how much it annoyed Art. Remember every “special” thing that you shared;- you are in my thoughts, on my heart, & in my prayers,
stevey wonderfu!
Our hearts go out to your family. Thanks for your time Art.
Art, thanks for all the dilly bars and the truck rides in your big black truck.Your humor will be missed. Say hello to my dad,TK,and Timmy.
God Speed.

To just say what a great loss doesn’t do my Dad justice. He was a kind, honest, yet simple man with stubbornness of a mule. Dad added a great zest to life.
His long, hard fight with cancer will not be forgotten. The only solace we have is knowing his soul is finally at rest in heaven.
He was a wonderful Father and Grandpa and the hole in our hearts could never be filled.
Sue,Steve & Kitty, Hope you
still remember Corky and Me –
Sending our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Read
about Arts death this morning
& thought about you all!
Art will be greatly missed. We have known Art for many years but looking back, we wish we would have known him better. We have enjoyed the many casual conversations around the TV set and at family gatherings. Thank you Art for being my brother, a wonderful husband to my sister, and a great father to your kids. Thanks also for protecting our freedom as a decorated soldier. We’re proud to have known you.

Art, I have great memories that were shared in Iowa. May you rest in peace in heaven “with the best of the best”.
Debbi, That was a great memorial for Art. I know you are going through a tough time, but I smile when I think of all the thoughtful things Art did for you through the years that you shared with us. The special lunches he would bring to you when you both worked at the airlines. The treats he would bring to you at home because he knew they would make you happy. Know that now he is sending his love to you from heaven. I hope this will bring a smile and fond memories to you. Thanks for sharing your special bond that you two had. Love to you always, Deanna
Thank you, Mr. Neve, for your undying love. I know you are at peace, and I will be with you again. Thank you for always trusting me, for helping me feel again, for accepting me as I am and for filling my life with love and happiness. Thank you for sharing your family with me and for loving mine. You will be missed beyond measure; my love for you will never die. Thank you for your final gifts….the kiss when you had no strength, the squeeze of my hand when I wasn’t sure you knew I was there; but especially for your constant bravery to protect me from your pain and fears. You are my hero, my husband, my friend.
Art,
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family, may you rest in peace.

I worked with Art during the good old days at Eastern Air Lines. He always put a great spin on the crazy days when flights were delayed and passengers were screaming at you. Art’s quick wit was a gift we all enjoyed. With fond memories, Linda Gilbo
