Obituary
Aurelio Ganapin Peralta was born on November 13, 1937 in Victoria, Tarlac, Philippines. He passed away on July 25, 2015 at Valley Medical Center in Renton, WA. His parents are Jacinto Peralta and Elena Ganapin. He was the youngest of 4 children. In 1959, he enlisted in the Philippine Air Force at the age of 22. Three years into his enlistment he met Felicitas Herrera and got married four years later. During his tenure in the Air Force he served under President Marcos presidency, and when the Philippines was under martial law from 1972 until 1981. In 1978, he attended the United States aircraft mechanic course at Lackland Airforce base under the foreign military exchange program. He retired as a 1st Lieutenant in the Philippine Air Force.
Aurelio and his family migrated to the United States back in 1981 & 1982. They quickly grew to love their new found home, friends and culture. With both Aurelio and Felicitas dedication and determination to provide a better life for their family, he worked as a security guard at night and a mail carrier during the day. He would also drive around to pick up and drop off his wife to her two full time jobs.
September 21st of this year would have been their 49th wedding anniversary. He enjoyed being with his wife and kids so much, that he spends all his free time with them. He passed away peacefully after being in the hospital for numerous health issues.
He is survived by his wife, Felicitas Peralta, six beautiful daughters, Myla (Alfredo) Padua, Sheila (Ronald) Cacho, Cherryl (Rey) Balmes, Gidgette (Augusto) Aloot, Jinky (Gregorio) Rebugio, and Maria (Armin) Guzman. Fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
He will always be remain in our hearts. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bonney-Watson; Washington Memorial Park, SeaTac. Funeral services will follow at Bonney – Watson on Thursday, July 30, at 12:00 PM. Burial will be in Washington Memorial Park.
